COP29 Climate Change Summer Camp

On August 8, 2024, the opening ceremony of the "COP29 Climate Change Summer Camp," organized by COP29 Azerbaijan, took place! This camp aims to align with and contribute to the goals of the Greening Education Partnership. The focus is to equip each participant with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes necessary to combat climate change and promote sustainable development.

By participating in the Climate Change Summer Camp, attendees will enhance their understanding of climate issues and engage in activities and learning experiences designed to empower them to take coordinated and comprehensive action within and beyond their communities.

The opening ceremony at ADA University featured speeches from notable figures, including the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and the COP29 President-Designate, H.E. Mr. Mukhtar Babayev, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and COP29 Lead Negotiator, Mr. Yalchin Rafiyev, the Chairperson of the NAMYO and Youth Climate Champion for COP29, Ms. Leyla Hasanova, the UNDP Resident Representative in Azerbaijan, Ms. Alessandra Roccasalvo and the UNICEF Representative in Azerbaijan, Dr. Saja Farooq Abdullah.

Secretariat Members of the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organization also participated in the event.
