NAMYO side event on “Recovery from COVID-19: Perspectives of NAM Youth"

On the second day of the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2023, NAM Youth Organization and NAYORA co-organized the side event on “Recovery from COVID 19: Perspectives of NAM Youth".

The event, moderated by the Head of NAMYO's Secretariat, Ms. Jeyran Jafarova, focused on the collaborations between youth organizations, governments, and other stakeholders in advancing progress on the SDGs. After the introduction of the event's theme, the Chairperson of NAM Youth Organization, Mr. Ordukhan Gahramanzade, delivered a keynote address briefing the impact of COVID-19 on youth in NAM countries and the crucial role NAM youth plays in promoting action on crucial topics such as post-pandemic recovery efforts. Following the address, the Chairman of NAYORA, Mr. Azar Aliyev, touched upon the importance of youth-led initiatives in post-pandemic period and NAYORA's perspective on youth empowerment and resilience-building.

At the end of the event, attendees from different NAM Member States addressed their questions to the speakers in a lively Q&A session.
