Three-day-long reforestation initiatives by the National Chapter of NAMYO in Honduras

NAMYO representatives in Honduras organized three-day-long reforestation initiatives in different municipalities of Honduras. With the active participation of young people, the reforestation days were carried out in the Municipality of Silca, the Municipality of Salamá, and Cerro Triquilapa. The purpose of the consecutive events is to foster environmental awareness and restore previously forested areas by replanting trees. During this activity, young people were particularly enthusiastic about promoting sustainability and economic conservation. Working collaboratively in teams, attendees also delved into the importance of reforestation for biodiversity, air quality, and climate change mitigation, in addition to engaging in tree planting. The activity also introduced detailed information about local plant species, their crucial role in ecosystems, and how they contribute to environmental balance.

We applaud our NC representatives for their commitment and dedicated action to ecological preservation and biodiversity protection!
